Original BT K6 red telephone box recently removed from SALTERSFORD RAINOW, MACCLESFIELD and is now available for anyone looking for a project.
This kiosk is a Mk II K6 kiosk which was introduced in 1939 it had more secure windows and phone mounting points. The windows were being stolen to make cole frames for growing vegetables and the cashboxes could be easily prised off in the MK I kiosks.
The MK II kiosks also had a slightly different design on the royal crown, MK I crowns had a flat base and the MK II crowns had more shape to the base of the crown.
The pictures are shown are the actual kiosk you will receive. The kiosk is sold as seen; you're welcome to visit our site in Newark to view the kiosk. Payphones and cash compartments are not supplied with the kiosk.
